If you and your interlocutors hear the echo of their sound signal during a video conference, the following things usually cause this unpleasant effect and you can do the following to get rid of it:
-You or your interlocutors play the sound through speakers. Disable speakers during the video conference and use a headset (headphones+microphone).
-All interlocutors use headsets, but the echo is still there. Modern sound cards have a stereo mixer that can mix both the signal from your microphone and the audio signal you receive from your interlocutors into the audio stream you send. To get rid of the echo, open the Record options and select mixing the signal from the microphone only.
-All interlocutors use headsets, the stereo mixer is configured, but my interlocutor hears his echo, while I do not hear mine. Most probably, you use a Realtek sound card and the Acoustic Echo Cancellation option is enabled in the Realtek software settings. You should disable this option in the settings of the Realtek sound card software in that case.
